Anjung Indah is situated approximately 15 kilometers northwest of George Town, Penang's capital city. Access is via Jalan Batu Ferringhi, a coastal road. Parking is available in a small, unpaved lot adjacent to the viewpoint, with capacity for approximately 10-15 vehicles. Bus route 101 stops within a 5-minute walk of the site.

The viewpoint was constructed in the late 1990s by the Penang State Government as a public amenity. The site is part of the coastal geology of Penang Island, characterized by sedimentary rock formations.
