Public transport access includes the Minsk Metro, with the Park Chelyuskintsev station located directly at the park's main entrance. Several bus and trolleybus lines also serve the area, including bus routes 100, 115E, and trolleybus routes 37, 38. Limited paid parking is available near the main entrances off Independence Avenue and Makarova Street.
Historical & Ecological Origin
The park was established in 1928 and officially opened in 1932. It was named in honor of the crew of the Soviet steamship Chelyuskin, which was crushed by ice in the Arctic in 1934. The site was originally part of the Komarovsky Forest, a natural woodland area on the outskirts of Minsk.
