The resort is situated approximately 100 kilometers southwest of Velana International Airport (MLE) in Malé. Access is via a 30-minute seaplane transfer from Malé, operated by Trans Maldivian Airways. Private charter flights are also available. There is no direct road access from the mainland.

The resort was developed on a natural coral island formation. The primary purpose of its construction was to establish a high-end tourist destination focused on marine activities and luxury accommodation.
