The park features several distinct areas. The Supertree Grove comprises vertical gardens with a height of 25 to 50 meters, incorporating photovoltaic cells and rainwater harvesting systems. The Cloud Forest is a 35-meter-tall conservatory housing a mountain landscape with a waterfall. The Flower Dome is a large, climate-controlled conservatory showcasing plants from Mediterranean and semi-arid regions. The outdoor gardens include themed horticultural displays and water features.

Gardens by the Bay is situated 1.5km Southeast of the Singapore city center. Access is via Marina Gardens Drive. Parking is available in the basement of the main visitor center, with capacity for 400 vehicles. Public transport options include the MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) with the nearest station being Bayfront (CE1/DT16), approximately a 5-minute walk away. Historical & Ecological Origin
Gardens by the Bay was conceived as part of Singapore's strategy to transform itself into a "City in a Garden." Construction began in 2007, with the park officially opening in 2012. The Supertrees are designed as a vertical ecosystem, mimicking the functions of trees.

Visitors can walk the OCBC Skyway, a 128-meter-long aerial walkway connecting two of the Supertrees. The Cloud Forest features a 35-meter-tall mountain with a waterfall and a walk-through experience. The Flower Dome displays rotating floral exhibits. The Children's Garden offers interactive water play areas. Light and sound shows are presented nightly at the Supertree Grove.

For photography, early morning (before 10:00 AM) or late afternoon (after 4:00 PM) provides optimal lighting conditions, avoiding harsh midday sun. The months of February to April generally offer drier weather. The light and sound show at the Supertree Grove is scheduled nightly at 7:45 PM and 8:45 PM.
