Access is via the paved road named "Friendship Bay Road" which leads directly to the bay. Parking is available along the roadside adjacent to the beach. Public transport is limited; minibuses operate on the main road but do not directly service the bay itself. A short walk of approximately 200 meters from the main road is required.
Historical & Ecological Origin

Facts & Legends
Local lore suggests that during the late 19th century, attempts were made to establish a small industrial operation in the bay, hence its name, though historical records of this are scarce.
