Historical & Ecological Origin
The original Malibu Pier was constructed in 1905 by Frederick Rindge. The current pier was built in 1946 after the original was damaged by storms. Facts & Legends
A unique historical detail is that the pier was once the site of a popular dance hall and amusement park. A local "secret" tip is to look for dolphins and seals often visible from the pier, particularly in the early morning or late afternoon.
