The shrine features a prominent, 12-meter-high, 11-meter-wide stage shaped like a lion's head. The main shrine building is constructed from wood with a dark, weathered finish and a traditional tiled roof. The surrounding grounds are compact, with stone pathways and minimal vegetation.

The shrine is situated 0.5km Southwest of Namba Station. Access is via the Midosuji Line, Sennichimae Line, or Yotsubashi Line to Namba Station. From the station, proceed on foot for approximately 5 minutes. Limited street parking is available in the vicinity; utilizing public transport is recommended. Bus routes 8, 12, 15, 27, 52, 60, and 75 stop within a 500-meter radius.

Historical & Ecological Origin

The shrine's origins are traced back to the 6th century, though its current structure, including the iconic lion-head stage, was completed in 1975. It was rebuilt to commemorate the 1,200th anniversary of the shrine's founding. The design of the lion-head stage is inspired by a legend of the shrine's founding deity, Susanoo-no-Mikoto, who is said to have slain an eight-headed serpent.
