Several local bus routes stop at or near the Zócalo, providing access from various city districts.
Historical & Ecological Origin
Construction of the current cathedral began in 1702 and was completed in 1733, though it was consecrated in 1733. It was built on the site of an earlier church dating back to the 16th century.
