The site was formerly Seletar Airfield, established by the British Royal Air Force (RAF) in 1929. It served as a naval airbase and later a military airfield. Following Singapore's independence, it transitioned through various military uses before being redeveloped into the Seletar Aerospace Park, officially launched in 2009 to foster aerospace industry growth.
