The Vieux Fort Lighthouse is a navigational aid located at the southern tip of Saint Lucia. It marks the entrance to Vieux Fort Bay.

The lighthouse is a cylindrical concrete structure painted white. It stands approximately 20 meters (65 feet) tall. A red lantern room is situated at the apex. The base is surrounded by low-lying coastal vegetation.

The lighthouse is situated at the southeastern extremity of Saint Lucia, approximately 3 kilometers (1.8 miles) south of the town center of Vieux Fort. Access is via the paved road leading to the southern point, often referred to as "The Point." Limited parking is available at the end of the road. Public transport does not directly service the lighthouse; a taxi or private vehicle is required from Vieux Fort town.
Historical & Ecological Origin
The current structure was erected in the mid-20th century to replace an earlier, less robust marker. Its purpose is to guide maritime traffic into the harbor of Vieux Fort. The site is composed of sedimentary rock formations characteristic of the island's southern coast.

For photography, the late afternoon offers favorable lighting conditions as the sun sets over the western horizon. The dry season, from December to May, provides the most stable weather. High tide is not a factor for access.
