From Kano, travel north on the A2 towards Katsina, then take a right turn onto a local road signposted for Falgore. The reserve entrance is approximately 20 kilometers from the main road. Parking is available at the main entrance gate. Public transport to the vicinity is limited; private vehicles or hired transport are recommended.

Established in 1975, Falgore Game Reserve was designated to conserve the natural savanna ecosystem and its associated fauna. Ecologically, it represents a typical Sudanian savanna zone, supporting a range of herbivores and carnivores adapted to semi-arid conditions.
