The accessible portion extends approximately 50 meters, characterized by smooth, dark rock walls and a low ceiling in some sections. The adjacent museum building is a single-story structure constructed from local globigerina limestone, featuring display halls for artifacts and fossils.

A dedicated parking area is available on-site. Public transport is available via bus routes 80, 82, and X4, with a bus stop directly outside the site entrance.
Historical & Ecological Origin
The cave formed through karstic processes in the Upper Coralline Limestone. Its geological significance lies in its stratified deposits, which contain fossilized remains of dwarf elephants, hippopotami, deer, and micro-mammals from the Pleistocene era. Human remains dating back approximately 7,400 years have also been discovered, indicating early human settlement.
Key Highlights & Activities
Visitors can explore the first 50 meters of the cave's interior via a designated walkway. The on-site museum displays fossilized animal bones, archaeological artifacts, and geological exhibits. Educational panels provide context on the cave's history and ecology.
Infrastructure & Amenities
Restrooms are available near the museum entrance. The cave interior maintains a cool, consistent temperature, offering natural shade. Cell phone signal (4G/5G) is generally available throughout the site, though it may be weaker inside the cave. A small gift shop is present, and a cafe is located within walking distance.
Best Time to Visit
The cave is suitable for visiting year-round due to its stable internal temperature. For photography, late morning or early afternoon provides optimal natural light at the cave entrance. Weekday mornings typically experience fewer visitors.
Facts & Legends
