The Heringer Millen is a restored 17th-century watermill located in the village of Müllerthal. It serves as a primary tourist hub, museum, and culinary center for the Mullerthal region. It is situated approximately 10 kilometers west of Echternach.
Visual Characteristics
The site consists of several traditional stone buildings, including the main mill house and a large stone barn. A functioning oversized wooden waterwheel is the central visual feature, powered by a bypass from the Black Ernz river. The interior features exposed wooden beams, heavy millstones, and a modern glass-and-wood annex used for the visitor center.

Facts & Legends
The Heringer Millen was historically the social and economic heart of the small Müllerthal settlement. Legend tells of a "Mill Ghost" that would tangle the gears if the miller did not leave a portion of grain for the forest spirits. Today, it is more famous for its "Hiking Pizza," a local specialty served in the restaurant annex.
