The Lae War Cemetery is a military cemetery located in Lae, Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea.
It serves as the final resting place for Allied soldiers who died during World War II in the New Guinea campaign.

The cemetery grounds are rectangular, measuring approximately 1.5 hectares. It features rows of uniform white headstones made of Portland stone, each bearing the name, rank, and service number of the deceased. A central Cross of Sacrifice stands prominently, and a Stone of Remembrance is located at the far end. The grounds are maintained with manicured lawns and planted with various trees and shrubs, providing shade.

The cemetery is situated approximately 2 kilometers west of Lae's city center. Access is via the main road, Markham Road (also known as the Lae-Nadzab Highway). Turn south onto the cemetery access road. Parking is available on-site at the main entrance. Public transport, such as local buses, operates along Markham Road, with a short walk required from the bus stop to the cemetery entrance.

The cemetery was established by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission to consolidate graves from battlefield cemeteries and isolated sites in the surrounding area. It primarily contains the remains of soldiers who died during the intense fighting in the Huon Peninsula and surrounding regions from 1942 to 1945. The land itself is part of the coastal plain of Morobe Province, characterized by tropical vegetation.

The dry season, from June to September, offers the most favorable weather conditions with less rainfall. There are no tidal considerations for this inland site.

The Lae War Cemetery is the largest Commonwealth War Graves Commission cemetery in Papua New Guinea, holding over 2,800 burials and commemorations. Many of the individuals interred here died during the arduous campaigns to recapture Lae and the Huon Peninsula from Japanese forces.
