Historical & Ecological Origin
Las Cuevas Beach is a natural formation, part of the island's northern mountain range. The beach is situated on a continental shelf, with its sand composed of eroded sedimentary rock from the surrounding hills. The area is part of the Northern Range ecosystem, known for its biodiversity.
