Paria Waterfall is a natural cascade located within the Northern Range of Trinidad, approximately 25 kilometers northeast of Port of Spain.

The waterfall descends approximately 30 meters over a series of rock ledges, forming a pool at its base. The surrounding vegetation is dense tropical rainforest, characterized by broadleaf trees and ferns. The rock face is primarily sedimentary, with visible layers of sandstone and shale.
Location & Access Logistics
Access to Paria Waterfall requires a hike from the Blanchisseuse Road. The trailhead is located at the end of a gravel track approximately 1.5 kilometers off the main Blanchisseuse Road. The hike is approximately 6 kilometers one way and takes about 2-3 hours. There is limited informal parking at the trailhead. No public transport directly serves the trailhead; visitors typically arrange private transport or hire local guides.

The best time of day for photography is mid-morning to early afternoon when sunlight penetrates the forest canopy. The dry season, from January to May, offers more stable trail conditions. During the wet season (June to December), the waterfall's flow is significantly increased, but the trail can become muddy and slippery.

Local folklore suggests that the pool at the base of the waterfall has healing properties. Historically, the area was used by indigenous peoples for spiritual practices.
