Makenyats Vank is located on Sevan Island, which is connected to the mainland by a causeway. Sevan Island is situated on Lake Sevan, approximately 65 kilometers northeast of Yerevan. Access is via the M4 highway towards Sevan. Parking is available on the mainland near the causeway. Public transport options include intercity buses from Yerevan to Sevan city, followed by a short taxi ride or walk to the island.
