Mesquite City Park is located at 100 W Mesquite Blvd, Mesquite, NV 89027. It is approximately 1.5 km west of the Mesquite city center. Access is directly from Mesquite Boulevard. A dedicated parking lot with 50 marked spaces is available on the north side of the park. The RTC Washoe bus route 51 stops at the intersection of Mesquite Boulevard and Pioneer Boulevard, a 0.3 km walk to the park entrance.

The park was established in 1985 on land acquired by the City of Mesquite. The mesquite trees are native to the Mojave Desert ecosystem. The pond was constructed in 1990 as part of the park's development to provide a water feature and attract local bird species.
