Parker Dam is a concrete arch-gravity dam located on the Colorado River, forming the boundary between Arizona and California, approximately 155 miles (249 km) northwest of Phoenix, Arizona.

Construction of Parker Dam began in 1934 and was completed in 1938. It was built by the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD) to divert water from the Colorado River. The dam is situated within a desert environment characterized by arid scrubland.
