Historical & Ecological Origin
The gardens were established in 1936 by David and Leslie Stults. Initially conceived as a roadside attraction showcasing local flora, it evolved to include a collection of exotic birds and other animals. The site is situated on land that was once part of a pine flatwoods ecosystem, with much of the current landscape developed through horticultural cultivation.

Visitors can observe animal feeding demonstrations, including flamingo and parrot feedings. Walking the garden paths allows for viewing of diverse plant species. The site offers opportunities for bird watching and photography. A petting zoo area is also available.
