The cathedral is constructed primarily from red brick, with white stone accents. It features a Neo-Romanian architectural style, characterized by its prominent central dome and two smaller flanking domes, all topped with golden spires. The facade is adorned with decorative arches and intricate stonework. The building stands approximately 60 meters tall.

The cathedral is situated in the central area of Timișoara, specifically at Piața Unirii (Union Square). It is approximately 1 kilometer from the city center. Parking is available in the underground parking facility beneath Piața Unirii, with direct elevator access to the square.
