Blue Mosque | Yerevan

The Blue Mosque is an active Shi'a Islamic mosque located in the Kentron district of Yerevan, Armenia. It is the only functioning mosque in the city.

Visual Characteristics

The mosque features a single minaret constructed from brick. The main prayer hall is a rectangular structure with a domed roof. The exterior walls are primarily faced with blue glazed tiles, giving the structure its name. The interior is decorated with geometric patterns and calligraphy.
