Erebuni Fortress | Yerevan

Erebuni Fortress is an ancient Urartian fortified city located in Yerevan, Armenia.

It was established in 782 BC by King Argishti I.

Visual Characteristics

The fortress ruins consist of foundational walls constructed from basalt stone and mudbrick. Visible sections include remnants of defensive walls, towers, and internal structures. The site is situated on a hill, offering a panoramic view of the surrounding urban landscape.
