Cascada de Nambillo is situated approximately 5 kilometers from the center of Mindo. Access is via the Mindo-Nambillo road (E28). From the road, a 1-kilometer dirt path leads to the waterfall. Parking is available at the trailhead. Public transport options to Mindo include buses from Quito (approximately 2 hours). From Mindo town, local taxis or mototaxis can be hired to reach the trailhead.

Restrooms are available at the trailhead. Limited shade is provided by the forest canopy. Cell phone signal (4G) is intermittent at the waterfall site and more reliable in Mindo town. Food vendors are not present at the waterfall; provisions should be made in Mindo.
Best Time to Visit
The best time of day for photography is generally mid-morning to early afternoon when sunlight penetrates the canopy. The dry season, from June to November, offers less rainfall. The waterfall is accessible year-round.
