Cell phone signal (4G) is generally available on the island. Restrooms are located within the villas and at the main resort buildings. Shade is provided by natural vegetation and resort structures.
Best Time to Visit
The dry season, from December to April, offers the most favorable weather conditions with lower humidity and minimal rainfall. For whale shark sightings, the period from August to November is often recommended. Sunrise and sunset provide optimal lighting for photography of the beach and ocean.
Facts & Legends
Dhigurah translates to "long island" in the local Dhivehi language, referring to its elongated shape. The island is known for its resident population of whale sharks, which can be observed year-round, though sightings are more frequent during specific periods.
