The HIJMS Nagato is a sunken Japanese battleship located within the Bikini Atoll, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Marshall Islands.
This vessel served as the flagship of Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto during the attack on Pearl Harbor.

The wreck lies at a depth of approximately 30 meters (98 feet). The hull is largely intact but shows significant structural damage from the atomic bomb tests. Sections of the deck, superstructure, and gun turrets are visible. The ship's metal exhibits corrosion and is encrusted with marine growth.

The HIJMS Nagato was commissioned in 1920 by the Imperial Japanese Navy. It was designed as a battleship and served throughout World War II. The ship was intentionally sunk in 1946 as part of Operation Crossroads, a series of nuclear weapon tests conducted by the United States. Its ecological origin is a coral atoll, formed by volcanic activity and subsequent coral growth.
