Location & Access Logistics

The trailhead is situated approximately 10 miles east of Cedar City, Utah, accessible via Old Irontown Road. From I-15, take Exit 59 and head east on UT-56. Turn right onto Old Irontown Road. The trailhead parking area is located at the end of Old Irontown Road. Parking is managed by a permit system, and capacity is limited. Public transport is not available to the trailhead.

Kanarra Falls is a natural geological formation carved by water erosion over millennia. The sandstone dates back to the Jurassic period. The trail itself was developed and maintained by local residents to provide access to the canyon's features.

A unique aspect of Kanarra Falls is the presence of constructed wooden ladders that allow hikers to navigate steeper sections of the waterfalls. These ladders are maintained by volunteers.
