Location & Access Logistics
Long Set Beach is situated approximately 7 kilometers southwest of Koh Rong's main pier in Koh Touch village. Access is primarily via boat transfer from Sihanoukville to Koh Rong, followed by a 20-30 minute motorbike taxi ride along the island's western track or a 45-minute walk from the southern end of Koh Toch. Limited parking is available at beachside resorts.
Historical & Ecological Origin
Long Set Beach is a natural coastal formation, part of the larger island ecosystem of Koh Rong, which is characterized by tropical monsoon climate and diverse marine life. The island itself is composed of sedimentary rock formations.
Key Highlights & Activities
Swimming is possible along the entire length of the beach. Snorkeling can be undertaken in the shallow waters, particularly near rocky outcrops. Kayaking rentals are available from several beachfront accommodations. Beachcombing for shells is a common activity.
Infrastructure & Amenities

Best Time to Visit
The optimal time for clear water visibility and calm seas is during the dry season, from November to April. Mid-morning offers good natural light for photography. High tide is generally preferred for swimming and water activities.
Facts & Legends
Local lore suggests the beach was named after a fisherman who discovered a large number of starfish in its waters. A specific tip for visitors is to walk the beach at night during the darker phases of the moon to observe bioluminescent plankton in the water.
