The tower features a square plan with four corner turrets, constructed from local globigerina limestone. Its exterior is painted a distinctive red ochre. The structure stands approximately 12 meters tall, characterized by thick, splayed walls at its base. Its architectural style is indicative of 17th-century Baroque military design.

The tower is situated on Marfa Ridge, approximately 2.5 kilometers north of Mellieha village center. Access is via Triq il-Mithna l-Qadima or Triq ta' l-Armier.
