The park features a 6,000-square-meter man-made lake filled with recycled water, surrounded by paved walking paths and tiered limestone seating. Vegetation consists of drought-resistant desert flora, palm trees, and expansive grass lawns, contrasting with the arid loess soil of the Negev. Architectural elements include the Pipe Bridge, a 180-meter steel pedestrian structure with a modern skeletal design, and the reconstructed masonry of the historic Ottoman Bridge.

Access is primarily via Route 25 or Derech Hevron, located approximately 4km southeast of Be'er Sheva city center. Dedicated parking lots are available at the Bell Park entrance and near the Abraham's Well International Visitor Center. The site is reachable via municipal bus lines 2, 12, or 13 from the central bus station, with stops situated along the park's northern perimeter.

Historical & Ecological Origin

The park is a multi-decade reclamation project initiated in the 1990s by the Be'er Sheva Municipality and the KKL-JNF to transform a polluted drainage channel into a functional ecosystem. Historically, the area contains the remains of an Ottoman-era railway bridge built in 1915 and the ancient Tel Be'er Sheva, which dates back to the Iron Age.

Pedestrians and cyclists utilize an 8km continuous trail system extending across the park's length. Boating is permitted on the artificial lake, and the 12,000-seat amphitheater hosts large-scale concerts and cultural events. Optimal photography conditions occur during the "golden hour" shortly before sunset, as the low light emphasizes the desert topography and the lake's surface. Facts & Legends

The park contains the site of the Battle of Beersheba (1917), where the Australian 4th Light Horse Brigade conducted a successful cavalry charge against Ottoman forces. Local legend identifies the area near the park's western edge as the location of the biblical covenant between Abraham and Abimelech, marked by the digging of a well.
