Access is via U.S. Route 4 East, then turning onto Sugarbush Crossing, a paved, private road. Ample free parking is available on-site in a designated gravel lot adjacent to the main buildings. No public transport directly serves the farm; private vehicle is the primary access method.

The farm was established in 1945 by the Luce family, who continue to operate it. The primary purpose has always been dairy farming and maple syrup production. The land is situated within the Green Mountain physiographic region, characterized by rolling hills and glacial till soils suitable for agriculture and maple sap production.
