CentralWorld is situated at 999/9 Rama I Road, Bangkok 10330, Thailand. It is approximately 3 kilometers east of the Grand Palace. Direct access is available from the BTS Skytrain's Siam station, which is connected to the complex via a skywalk. Limited public parking is available within the complex, with capacity for several thousand vehicles. Bus routes serving the area include 2, 15, 25, 40, 48, 54, 73, 74, 77, 93, 141, and 505.

Historical & Ecological Origin

The site was formerly occupied by the World Trade Center, which opened in 1985. CentralWorld was redeveloped and reopened in its current form in 2006 by the Central Pattana Public Company Limited. Its original purpose was to serve as a major commercial and retail center for Bangkok.
