Temae Beach is situated at the northeastern extremity of Moorea, approximately 15 kilometers east of the main town of Maharepa. Access is via Rue de Temae, a paved public road. Parking is available along the roadside and in designated gravel areas near the beach access points. Public transport options are limited; local taxis or rental vehicles are the primary means of access. The ferry terminal from Tahiti is approximately 10 kilometers west of the beach.

The best time for photography is generally in the morning between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM, or in the late afternoon from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, to avoid direct overhead sun. The dry season, from May to October, offers the most consistent weather. High tide is preferable for swimming and water activities due to increased water depth.
