Bayfront Park is a 32-acre public park situated on the western shore of Biscayne Bay in downtown Miami, Florida.

Bayfront Park is located at 301 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL 33132. It is accessible via Biscayne Boulevard. The park is approximately 1.5km east of the Miami Central Business District. Paid parking is available in the adjacent One Miami East Garage and the Bayfront Marketplace Garage. Metromover stations Government Center and Bayfront Park are within walking distance.

Historical & Ecological Origin

The park was established in 1926 and underwent significant redevelopment in the late 1980s. It was designed by landscape architect Sasaki Associates. The site is reclaimed land along the Biscayne Bay shoreline.

Activities include walking the waterfront promenade, picnicking in open areas, and visiting the marina. The Amphitheatre hosts scheduled events. Kayak and paddleboard rentals are available seasonally.

Best Time to Visit

The best time for photography is during the morning for direct sunlight on the bay or late afternoon for softer light on the skyline. The months of March through May offer mild temperatures. High tide is not a critical factor for park access.

A notable feature is the large Bicentennial Bell, a gift from the people of Miami-Dade County to commemorate the United States Bicentennial.
