The Albert Einstein Memorial is a bronze sculpture located in Northwest Washington, D.C. It commemorates the physicist Albert Einstein.

Visual Characteristics

The memorial features a 7.6-meter (25-foot) tall bronze statue of Albert Einstein seated on a granite bench. The statue depicts Einstein with his characteristic unruly hair, holding a tablet inscribed with three of his scientific equations: E=mc², the photoelectric equation, and the mass-energy equivalence. The sculpture is set within a circular plaza paved with granite. Surrounding the statue are three concentric rings of granite benches, each inscribed with quotes from Einstein. The overall height of the monument, including the base, is approximately 10 meters (33 feet).

The Albert Einstein Memorial is situated on the grounds of the National Academy of Sciences at 2101 Constitution Avenue NW, Washington, D.C.
